How we collect, store, and protect your data.

Hydron Hosting is committed to protecting your personal information and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains the justification for collecting and storing your personal data, how we use your personal data and why we use your personal data as well as our policy on cookies and marketing communications. By using our services, you must agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We will never sell, rent, or disclose your personally identifiable information to outside parties without your consent unless compelled by a court of law to do so. We do not collect personal information of children, and our services are targeted for users of 18+ years. You are not permitted to use our services if you are a minor.

Information We Use And Collect

When you register an account, we will ask you for the following information:

  • Your email address
  • Your company name (if applicable)
  • Your phone number

We use this information to verify your account, administer our services, offer our client portal features, contact you regarding your services and to link your account to your payments. We do not share this information with third parties.

Your IP address, and any IP address used to access your account or service is automatically logged. We do this to identify you are the account owner, to identify suspicious logins and to help diagnose problems with our servers firewall and to administer our website.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. Hydron Hosting aims to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Data.

Data Controller vs. Data Processor

For your personal account information (billing details, contact info) stored in our billing system (WHMCS), Hydron Hosting acts as the Data Controller. We determine why and how this data is processed.

For the data you host on our servers (website files, databases, emails), you are the Data Controller, and Hydron Hosting acts as the Data Processor. We process this data only to provide the service to you.

Your Rights Under GDPR

In certain circumstances, you have the following data protection rights:

  • The right to access, update or to delete the information we have on you. Whenever made possible, you can access, update or request deletion of your Personal Data directly within your account settings section. If you are unable to perform these actions yourself, please contact us to assist you.
  • The right of rectification. You have the right to have your information rectified if that information is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • The right to object. You have the right to object to our processing of your Personal Data.
  • The right of restriction. You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal information.
  • The right to data portability. You have the right to be provided with a copy of the information we have on you in a structured, machine-readable and commonly used format.
  • The right to withdraw consent. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time where Hydron Hosting relied on your consent to process your personal information.

Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data under GDPR

Hydron Hosting may process your Personal Data because:

  • We need to perform a contract with you (Service provision).
  • You have given us permission to do so.
  • The processing is in our legitimate interests and it's not overridden by your rights.
  • For payment processing purposes.
  • To comply with the law.

Data Retention

We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Please note that for tax and accounting purposes, we may be required by law to retain certain billing data for a period of up to 7 years.

Security, PCI & SSL

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. We use strong SSL encryption to ensure your privacy. We also regularly scan our website and connected services for malware. We accept payments via a PCI compliant service, and do not store sensitive credit card or payment details on our servers.

CAN SPAM Act

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations. To be in accordance with CAN SPAM, we agree to: not use false or misleading subjects or email addresses, identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way, include the physical address of our business or site headquarters, monitor third-party email marketing services for compliance, if one is used, honor opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly and allow users to unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of each email.
